Over the Strathaven Balloon Festival Weekend, why not visit Strathaven Airfield on our Open Day on the afternoon of Sunday August 30th.

Entry and car parking is free!

We hope the following information may be useful. Note: the Balloon Festival is held in the town park, not the airfield.

Come and see the aircraft based at Strathaven and those visiting for our fly-in. Aircraft already arrived at the field include a WW1 SE5a replice biplane.

Between 2pm until 4pm on Sunday there will be a radio-controlled model aircraft display, hovercrafting and a power kiting demonstration.

Teas and coffees will be available from Strathaven's Fairtrade committee - Strathaven being Scotland's first Fairtrade Town.

Hot snacks and light refreshments will also be available from a burger van.

Families are very welcome. Please keep an eye on children and leave dogs in your car.
